  1. I want to see her create a new saber. Whether or not it's staff or single blade, isn't as important as the fact that I do NOT want to see, yet another person use the same damn saber from every movie. A lightsaber is supposed to be unique to every jedi, and yet we never see any new ones?

I also really want to see her use orange saber color. It fits her so well, especially if she goes another route from jedi.

  2. I'll be amazed if TLJ doesn't Smash TFA on opening weekend. TFA left us wanting answers, we've been waiting for those answers for 2 years ,we wont wait another second longer than we need to

  3. so true about the emotion behind Carrie Fisher – I honestly get a case of the feels every time I watch the teaser or the trailer – and there's no doubt that I'll get them again during the movie. <3

  4. I'm pretty sure giving Anakin a little girl Padawan was a George Lucas idea (Filoni talked about it back in Republic Force Radio or one of the equivalents). But the character of Ashoka is his with like major influence from Lucas ideas. 🙂

  5. Dull. Kristian knows his stuff but just doesn't have a personality that is engaging enough to take this 'brand' forward – perhaps writing would be the best field where he could find the space to fully articulate his ideas. Otherwise it just makes watching this painful.

  6. There is a scene in the new trailer, when Luke falls down and says ITS NOT GOING TO GO THE WAY YOU THINK, i think that is the scene from the vision, its dark, raining and if you connect it with the talk today i think it makes sense 😀

  7. Ok, the trash compactor creature being called "the Baptist"… I am a Baptist and I laughed so hard at that! We're called Baptists because of our tradition of baptism (unlike some other Christian traditions… there are lots of subgroups in the Christian faith) that dunks a person completely under water as a symbol of our faith in God. I have to read that story now. I'm envisioning the creature not wanting to eat him, but rather pulling him underwater as a symbol to acknowledge him as the chosen one: the one to save the universe from the darkside… and then Luke blows him up with everyone else on the death star. Unless when he suddenly let Luke go and disappeared, he somehow teleported himself away through the force. I haven't read it yet, but that would ROCK!

  8. My theory is that everything is leading to a battle between Luke and Abeloth. Snoke could be using Kylo and wanting to turn Rey to follow him to defeat Abeloth because he thinks Luke doesn't have what it takes to defeat her. It would totally turn everything on its head if episode 9 is primarily focused on Snoke, Kylo, Rey, and Luke all teaming up to fight Abeloth with Luke dealing the death blow and showing that he is truly the most powerful being in the galaxy. After the dust settles, Snoke and Kylo turn on Luke while trying to call Rey to their side to defeat him leading to a battle between Snoke and Kylo vs Luke and Rey only to have Kylo turn on Snoke and killing him to insure no other great powerful evil like Abeloth ever rises again. The end and you're welcome.

  9. Why does Perri have to be on everything? I like her, but too much of anything can get overbearing. She is literally on almost EVERY SINGLE SHOW. I watch collider because of all the different personalities and the different points of view. There's no reason for me to watch if we get the same point of view on every show. You guys are making her annoying by putting her on EVERYTHING. Fuck super hero fatigue, I'm getting Perri fatigue.

  10. When it comes to Bloodline, (which is my favorite book right now) Luke and Ben are traveling together as far as Leia knows. She has not had direct contact with them for some time during the events of Bloodline so we don't know for sure if they were still together at that time. If Luke was there a bit longer then 5 to 6 years it would not necessarily be a retcon since the book's explanation of what Leia is aware of allows for a bit of wiggle room.

  11. It seems pretty clear Johnson wants nothing more to do with Kathleen Kennedy. The common denominator of all the strife on and off set has been Kennedy. How many directors have we lost? He’s being diplomatic, and he’s a smart enough and a nice enough guy to keep his mouth shut, and get along with her, smile and privately scream in a pillow during filming, and now just sell the film. However, for him to be completely gone, when they wanted him to direct, ( not even a producer credit?) Kennedy must have made him utterly miserable throughout this process. He’s the sole director since the Kennedy era began to make it through filming and release with no fighting, fiddling or firing. Now he is bowing out gracefully. Fatigue, passion projects, etc.. Johnson is a tad eccentric, but show me an artist who isn’t. He’s a gifted storyteller, and knows he can write his ticket from here on out. He’s not so eccentric, however, nor so arrogant as to pass up the place in history he could have achieved if he closed out the saga. When it comes to the biggest franchise In the world which you also happen to personally love, when you love making films, anything else will keep. No matter how taxing, nothing could keep him away if he was happy there. Tthere’s no reasonable justification for anyone to pass up crafting Star Wars for a generation, and walking away completely. (Not to mention the payday he passed up which could have conceivably been in the 7-8 figure range if the stars aligned) For Johnson, the fact is, that not making Star Wars is better than making Star Wars. And history. Kennedy is one of the most successful producers in all of Hollywood history, and.a legend in her own right, but there’s a pattern here which can’t be denied.. Who’s the the one person/ he cant get rid of? (Much of this is of course assuming the film is actually good, but his track record is brilliant, and they wanted him back.)
Disclaimer- Assertions about Kennedy are based solely on history, recorded facts, social media, press, and Johnson’s actions and interactions with Kennedy in public appearances.
