I think Nymeria will save Aria from a White Walker or some other threat before she makes it back to Winterfell.

I never understood why the Direwolves didn't have a bigger part or how they could just be killed off so easily. I thought they were magical?

why wouldn't they bring her back the arc that has been set up practically sets up her return, personally i think she'll come back when arya is captured or out numbered while nymeria is out hunting with her pack

How did summer die?

Nymeria better f'ing show up in the show. I was very disappointed ghost didn't make more appearances, especially during the battle of the bastards. Robbs wolf played a critical part in his battles, they CGI giant and dragons but couldn't give ghost more play time? Kinda pissed money's getting in the way there in regard to CGI. For artistic freedom, they shouldn't charge so much for the work or something. Or HBO should give them free will to do whatever. I've been waiting for Nymeria tho. Thinking bout cancelling HBO if they don't do this next season right.

Yes! Nymeria will be back but I just wanna say 1 thing about the Stark sigil I found interesting and it dates all the way back to the pilot episode.
The Stark banners showed a gray wolf with a white background but the intro has always shown a white wolf.
We know the colors have to be reversed when a bastard represents their house so I guess you could say they were foreshadowing "The King In The North" ever since the very first intro.
I'm surprised I never see anyone talking about that.

I think Martin put direwolves in the story for a reason, and I think that they are sort of guardians , or someone who stands on the border between old and new world / old and new ways. That being said I think the remaining ones will surely play some role in the upcoming books, as for the show I would very much like to see Nymeria again, with her pack of course.

@ The Last Harpy – Old video, but I would like to see a new video that explains the deaths of the 4 dire wolves, and who was responsible. And I want to see if it relates to the deaths of the owner. Shaggy Dog was killed by Ramsey, as was Rickon. Rob's dog was killed by the Frey's, as was Rob. I can't recall who killed lady, I thought it was Ned in truth. And to the best of our knowledge, Bran's wolf killed by wights (though we never saw it happen). To me, this foreshadows Sansa being killed by a Stark, as well as Bran potentially being killed by a wight, though becoming a wight is a possibility (because of the off-screen swarming). Have you read any more theories about it?

I would literally cry with joy if there's a reunion of arya, nymeria and da king of the north!!! I live for the teams in season 6, and hopefully 7, Daenerys and Tyrion how great is that?!

do you think there'll be any other connection between animals and house sigils? Wee seen a connection between dire wolves with starks, dragons with targaryens, but what about deer with baratheon and krakens with greyjoys or the many others?

since 4 of the direwolves are already dead and until now they have greatly impacted the story I really think and hope that in season 7 Nymeria will be back

my best guess is that edward couldnt slay LADY and instead sent it with some of his guard to the north

That Lady had to die forecasts that Sansa is not a real Stark and will choose another path. Even betray Jon now that he's king in the North. Remember the look that Sansa gave littlefinger when Jon was crowned king of the north.
Also in the books there is much more written about the hostility between Sansa and the other stark kids, espacially Arya. She is much more a Tully then a Stark. I don't think she will be happy with a siderole in the story. She will chose her own path.
Every other Stark kid died together with there Direwolf. Sansa's connection to the Starks died together with her Direwolf.
Bran's direwolf died but it only proves the theory because he is now the 3 eyed raven. He is not just bran the kid of edard stark anymore.

She'll come back, it would be silly to have something so iconic fizzle out.

dude! what killed that dire wolf??? when i first watched episode one I immediately assumed that it had to be a white walker that ripped off the antler of the stag and used it to kill the dire wolf. six seasons and five books later i learned that white walkers CANNOT pass the wall… So what could have killed the dire wolf????

There should be a kickstarter so we can donate money to see more cgi with dire wolves and dragons

Bran/Three eyed Raven Warged the mother through time in order to set up these wolves.
In the books Summer is still alive. Sad that they all died in the show.
