Always wanted to try casting aluminium directly to copper so here goes nothing. the video was probably gonna be quite long so I split it into 2 parts.

What fuel do you use for your foundry

Oh i almost forgote theat clay its potteri clai you can find how to find it on youtube very easy , theat is all# god bie!
Since you have trouble getting copper hot enough try this rule of thumb the amount of time it takes for it to go liquid double it before you pull it out and pour
Copper melts are amazing to me, to think it gets to a temperature that you'd make a steak into charcoal within moments – for the blades it depends what tools you got about… rotary tool / dermal a notch into the copper handles, use the holes as drill points for the handles and use brass dowel pins to beat them secure to one another – either way mate good luck – best of luck with the next stages.
awesome mate you should try making custom stuff with styrofoam I think cause it dissolves instantly. a channel called presstube does it frequently when making logos
Cool Mate
Lookin forward to part 2! What is that thermometer you are using? You like it? How much do they cost?
Ah yes.
I woulda poured the blades first…
Still look cool!
Can use those for other handles, like on a drill press, or a mower deck lever.
Dude, The handles turned out great. Please upload part two immediately!
maybe copper has magnetic properties when superhrated?
And it was reacting to the spin of the earth…
Amazing video man! keep up those metal melting and casting videos
Why not just do it all in one video? btw love the videos
You'll pour alu directly into the handle? Should be interesting! Seems like you'd need to preheat the handle so the alu doesn't shrink and fall out?
Thank you so much for uploading man. The video is so well made and the music fits so well. I was a bit nervous because I have final exam tomorrow, but now I'm much better.
You need to buy some clamps to hold your 2 molds nice and tight rather then relying on bricks đ can't wait for part 2… đ
nice I hope the blades will come out nice also
