isn't he technically the 1000th Lord Commander? i thought after the Night's King was killed, they destroyed every piece of evidence of him. i would assume that they woumd even take him out kf the book of Lord Commanders.

The Night's Watch now has no Lieutenants (I think Jon hanged them because they joined Ser Allister in stabbing him) no Wildling or Giant allies, no Valyrian swords and even less men.
If I were him i'd say just disband the whole thing, and join a certain new King's army as soldiers. They can't be executed for deserting an organization that doesn't exist anymore.

Anyone else feel that Edd, will be one of the better Lord Commanders?

He has the experience, understanding of the Night Walker menace (and potential counter) and the respect of the men.

-davos
-wildlings
