We had recently spotted Emilia Clarke, the actress behind the character Daenerys Targaryen headed for the Oscars in Heathrow International Airport. She had been headed for the Oscars to enjoy the show. But seeing how all fans can’t wait to know about the upcoming final season of Game of Thrones and the events that transpire therein, she was ultimately asked the questions which really matter in an interview on the red carpet after the Oscars.
When confronted with the first question about how she thinks the fans would react to the new season, she said that it would be shocking. According to her, the creators have put in a lot of time and effort into the creation of this final season. As of hence, she firmly believes that the events in the show will mostly be shocking.
“It’s going to be huge,” said Emilia. “I know there’s going to be some things this season that are going to shock people.”
The next question was about what she took from the set of Game of Thrones to serve as a reminder of her time there. Most other actors had already been taking things from the set with the exception of a few like Lena Headey who would’ve been happier without having to wear that wig of Cersei. She revealed that she constantly tried to steal something from the set, but kept failing at it primarily because everyone was watching her.
“I’m not gonna lie,” said Clarke. “I tried to take something but there were people watching all around. I wanted to take the throne and I tried to fit it into my car, but it was too big.”
Apart from this, Emilia Clarke also had a backstage reunion with Jason Momoa, the actor behind Khal Drogo, after a long time after Khal Drogo was killed in the show. Their characters, Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo used to have a very intimate relationship in the show. Recounting that, Jason Momoa, who was there with his wife in real life, posted the event on his Instagram profile.
“So proud of you @emilia_clarke I love u with all my heart Aloha Drogo” read the caption to the post.
With the artists reminiscent of their time spent together, all that’s for the fans to do is to watch the season end of Game of Thrones that is set to air this April 14.
