Game of Thrones has a giant fanbase, and there’s hardly anybody that hasn’t watched it. However, odd as it may seem, Naomi Watts, the lead star of the first Game of Thrones prequel Blood Moon, apparently hadn’t didn’t know anything about the show before she was cast for the prequel. Read on!

She recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight in an interview at the Emmy after party, where she was asked how she feels about the intense pressure a follow up to Game of Thrones:

“I’m trying not to think about it. Yeah, but it is evident how well done it is.”

Speaking of seeing the cast of Game of Thrones at the Emmy’s, she said:

“At the end there, watching them all up on stage having gone through such a long period of time and they’re so well-connected and bonded, and you know they’ve all done such an incredible job.”

She then revealed she hadn’t quite watched the show or known much about it before being offered the role:

“I had to do some catch up, yeah. My brother, though, basically said to me, when I told him about it, he said, ‘You will die before I let you not do that show. You have to do it.’ He is obsessed.

And, of course, when I did get around to watching it, I just did it all in the space of about, I don’t know, two months on a lot of long flights and it’s absolutely riveting. I loved it.”

Well, Watts is a good actress, and there’s no doubt she’ll do well in the prequel. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
