There’s no denying it’s the golden age of television, with series like Line Of Duty and Game Of Thrones seeing us gladly sacrifice our social lives to watch them each weekend.
And three of telly’s biggest stars repped the industry as they were honoured at the Time 100 Gala at New York’s Lincoln Center.
Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke led the charge as she joined Richard Madden and Sandra Oh in being named one of Time’s most influential people of 2019.
The 32-year-old had us all humming Chris de Burgh as she attended the gala in a gorgeous red dress featuring a semi-sheer corset top and a full tulle skirt.
Emilia paired the ballerina-with-an-edge look with slicked back hair and pointed red shoes, and matched the red carpet perfectly.
The actress was all smiles, and that’s probably because she doesn’t have to deal with the stress of GOT anymore – whereas we’re all freaking out over the possibility of everyone we love dying in the Battle of Winterfell.
Clarke this week defended Daenerys’ reaction to finding out her lover Jon Snow is her nephew, claiming incest isn’t all that big a deal in Westeros.
She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘The main thing is we’re up for the same promotion and I’ve been working for it for my entire existence. This is my whole existence! Since birth!’
‘There’s so much she’s seen and witnessed and been through and lost and suffered and hurt to get here… and Jon doesn’t even want it.’
Still, Emilia brushed off all the drama to mingle with the stars in NYC, including Killing Eve’s Sandra Oh, who looked chic and sophisticated in a one shoulder, floor-length black gown.
The dress added a touch of whimsy with a plume of white feathers on the shoulder, with the actress wearing her hair up and carrying a stylish clutch bag.
Sandra, 47, has been critically lauded for her role as Eve Polastri in Killing Eve, but it was her role as Cristina Yang in Grey’s Anatomy that had fellow Time honoree Taylor Swift fangirling over Sandra during her gala performance.
Bodyguard star Richard Madden celebrated his stellar year, and looked dashing in a classic black tuxedo and bow tie combo.
Also, we’re digging that grey streak.
Other stars being honoured at the party included Oscar winner Rami Malek, Twitch star Ninja, Taylor Swift, Avengers: Endgame star Brie Larson, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Glenn Close, Khalid and Nancy Pelosi.
That’s quite the guestlist.
Sadly, BTS couldn’t be there after being named one of the year’s most influential artists.
