Game of Thrones: The Last Watch is airing tonight on Sky Atlantic on Now TV and the cast saying their goodbyes to the show are heartbreaking.
The two-hour documentary aired on HBO in the US already leaving fans emotionally broken as it becomes very real that the series is over for good.
Emilia Clarke saying goodbye to Daenerys Targaryen on her last day in costume is gutting.
Filmmaker Jeanie Finlay made The Last Watch and said she wanted to make a film about ‘human emotions’ in the process.
‘There is a lot of tears in the film,’ she told Metro.co.uk. ‘Emilia is crying at the read through
‘I think that people who work or star in Game of Thrones, this has been their life for 10 years.’
She explained: ‘I was surprised at how emotional it got early on, there was this impending feeling of the end coming and no one wanted to think about it but then we’re getting flashes of it.
‘So people were very emotionally invested.’
Jeanie added: ‘Watching Emilia – watching Daenerys crying over Ser Jorah, it’s really moving.
‘You don’t just think “Oh, I’m just watching a take” you really are swept away with the story. It’s really special.’
Jeanie and her team shot 950 hours of footage for the documentary which focuses heavily on the integral role the crew and extras played in bringing Westeros to life.
‘It’s so magical the way they bring the world to life – those dragons really do fly.’
Expect to see Varys star Conleth Hill being absolutely disgusted with his ending and Kit Harington’s reaction to his last scene with Emilia.
So don’t forget the tissues if you’re tuning in tonight.
Game of Thrones: The Last Watch airs on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV tonight at 10.10pm.
