Emilia Clarke tried swiping the Iron Throne (Picture: Rex Features)

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has revealed that she attempted to nick the Iron Throne from set now that the show is coming to an end.

The 32-year-old actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit series, admitted she is a ‘goody two shoes,’ but quipped that she had a stab at trying to fit the giant metal sculpture into her car.

Talking about her efforts to poach props, Emilia confessed: ‘I tried to throw some things under the wig, hide them in my bag, nothing.

‘Apparently the throne itself you can’t… I was there pushing it, trying to get it in the car. It didn’t fit, so what are you gonna do?’

Emilia, who confirmed at the Oscars that she’s ditched Daenerys’ blonde hair, added that the final episode of Game Of Thrones ‘will shock people.’

Speaking to E! News, said: ‘It’s going to be huge, that much everyone needs to know. It took us a long time to film this one for a very good reason.

‘But I think there’s going to be some things… I know there’s going to be some things in this last season that will shock people.’

A brand new season eight trailer dropped over the weekend, showing armies arriving into Winterfell, possibly explaining why Arya looks so pleased to have the support from a huge dragon.

Not long to go now, folks.

Game Of Thrones returns 14 April on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
