While its final episodes might have earned only mixed reviews, the end of Game Of Thrones was still a sad occasion for fans of the hit HBO fantasy drama.

It was even more depressing for the actors involved in Game Of Thrones. That’s why Emilia Clarke wanted to take a memento from the set to commemorate her time on the show. Clarke even had her eye on a very specific piece of memorabilia, as the brunette actress wanted to take the blonde wig that transformed her into Daenerys Targaryen.

Unfortunately for Clarke, though, despite originally seeming fine with the actress taking the wig, the powers that be over at HBO still haven’t actually given it to her yet.

“I was, ‘Pretty please, can I have a wig?’ Because that’s my thing, it’s my hair,” Clarke recalled to Access. “They were like, ‘Yeah, sure, maybe.’ But I have not seen the wig! We wrapped, like, a year and a half ago. I’m waiting for my wig.”

HBO were probably too busy to give Clarke her wig as they were running Game Of Thrones’ Emmy campaign. They did a very good job of that, too, because despite its mediocre reviews Game Of Thrones went on pick up 12 awards at the Emmys, including the Best Drama Series gong.

However, Emilia Clarke fans were left disappointed, as she was pipped to the lead actress in a drama series award by Jodie Comer, who won it for her role as Villanelle in Killing Eve. Unfortunately for them and Clarke, now that Game Of Thrones is done and Daenerys is dead, she will never be rewarded for her work on the show.

But at least they can take solace in the release of Last Christmas, which stars Clarke and will hit cinemas on November 8.
