Game of Thrones is a crazy show to start with, but the Final Season, Season 8 is going to be crazy! We will not only witness the end of some of the main characters that we love but we will most likely witness the End of Magic! But what does that mean?

  1. In S8, Dany dies.
She will die giving birth to the child she & Jon created. What is a predominant recurring theme in these stories?…..mothers dying in child-birth.
Jon & Tyrion survive. Arya, mayb. Sansa, not so much.
I wld like it if Sam, Gilly, and lil Sam live…..there's a Ton of Potential for the spin-offs if they Do survive.
Bran lives, but later on disappears into the Cold Far North…..or is it all just In Bran's Head???

  2. There are 2 separate ways that magic takes hold in the GOT world. The great other & the balance to it…which is where we get our main cast from.

I would like to believe they could get rid of magic to save humanity. However, they are not set up for that much destruction. They are mainly focused on the fact that winter is coming (or here now) & nobody seems focused on the Shadow Lands of Asshai'i.

It would seem to me that in order to get rid of all magic, you would have to travel there & anywhere the black inky stone lies to destroy these dark magical items. As well as possibly finding the other potentially mythical creatures or gods and destroying it all before magic is fully removed from the world. Just an idea.

  3. I think you are right, it will be a brutal season 8. Although, I'm hoping the Dragons and Dire Wolves survive. It is very interesting about the Weirwood. Never thought about that, but it seems very possible.

  4. Ehh way more bitter than sweet I think, but that's just me. I think Jaime will definitely die but I think/hope a decent amount of major characters will survive; enough will die that it can be bitter and the rest will be tramautized by the loses from the Great War

  5. Is you think it might belie old Nag said and maybe they just all live in this bluebuble or a blue eye and maybe this is all just a story sort of like the Matrix. That would Truly suck though wouldn't't it??? I tell you I would Truly be upset if that is what is going on.

  6. This new comment format is difficult to navigate. There's a lot of land between video and comments, and that distance leads to problems when trying to quote items. Snarl! Growel!

You've got me confused about who will live. At one point you list Arya, Bran, Daenerys, Jon, and Tyrion. Then you list Arya, Bran, Jon, Sansa, and Tyrion. They you're back to the first list. Later, you talk about the death of Sansa.

I am a Bear of very little brain, but those lists of five key characters are not the same. Am I confused? Yup! I think you are right with the first list — Daenerys, no Sansa. But I've been wrong before.

Key point: I agree with you that the most significant death in the process will be the death of Magic. The magial, enchanting characters are dropping off one after another. Destoying the hive mind in the Warewood trees is likeky the key to victory for the humans over The Others. But the price is terribly high. Westeros as we know it will not survive, though there will be a continuing Westeros. It wil just be different. Very different.

    Thanks for your ideas!

  7. Do you write science fiction?
It must be so personal to build these stories – imagine all the writers in the past and how tough it must have been to share their work with the public.

  8. If you want magic so bad go to Disney World

No one cares about the dragons
The true bittersweet ending will be if one of Danny or Jon die. Though personally, I can't wait for the blonde/silver haired hoe to bite it. And I will be just fine if Jon dies as well
Sansa, Theon, Tyrion and Arya will remain alive…..and maybe Jorah
And I am pretty sure Sansa will sit on the Iron Throne at the end

The faster you accept it, the easier it will be for you to take it when it does happen

  9. I can relate to that and still there is a part that sais to me that it is not ALL magic dying … OLD magic dies (bitter) and a new magic will be born (sweet) … through Daenys and Jons child. She/he will bring new hope. And he/she has the ability of bringing new magic to Westeros … I dont think that all magic dies … we just know Westeros … what about the east continent … there are still Dragoneggs waiting for a Dragonking or Dragonqueen 😉

  10. DAMNNNNNN .I hope your wrong ….It sounds great because it brings out that bitersweetness…..ive ground accustom to the actors in this story and i really hoped for the best but….let Jamie die and kill the sister,im mean his woman…i mean his babies mama…lol…. sansa hmmmmmmm….. anoying sometimes but we need to have a good anoying noble LADY …hmmmmm lets hope and pray people

  11. It seems that Magic can only be defeated by Magic, and if anything, Magic returned, so to speak (Dire Wolves, Dragons, The 3 Eyed Raven, reforging Valerian Steel, and Using Dragon Glass weapons), in an age of unbelief, and skepticism, to bring, not merely "Balance" to the world, but a fresh start. Therefore, I find it hard to believe Magic will end here. If Magic existed before the first men, it makes sense to me it will exist after the last men. But if it did end that would be interesting, for some i assume , it would be like waking up from a nightmare, where all the monsters are gone, bringing that sigh of relief, for others it would like waking up from a dream, where angels, and fairies, and visions are gone, bringing sadness with the sense of blandness to the world. But hey, I'm new to GOT, so what do i know. I know I love the show, that's about it!

  12. magic and fantasy was what attracted me to the show and the story and even after many years still kept me glued to it. It would break my heart if that happened, because magic is not all bad, but yeah if they want peace, it's gotta go and all of it, not just some of it. They don't get to choose what to keep and what to get rid of. What I'm more interested in now that you bring this up is that certain 'magic' has been deeply rooted into the people too. What about the religions? The red priests? Those places in Essos that are still covered in mystery and normal fold don't even go there, like Asshai? Is it really possible to banish magic from the world of ASOIAF? I hope season 8 isn't neckhigh in plot holes. Seems to me like they might spend the last episode explaining what happens AFTER the great war, after magic is gone, something like an epilogue.
