Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon recently finished its season 1, and according to HBO chief Casey Bloys is the only Game of Thrones spinoff that has been greenlit officially. However, he didn’t deny the fact that there were other projects at work, stemming from the GOTverse or the Martinverse, whichever way you prefer to call it. We already know that being a high-priority project, the scale of production, be it the set, the costume, the animation, everything is going to be massive. Even the more experienced cast members were left dumbfounded with excitement at what they were witnessing.

In a recent interview with Interview Magazine, Emily Carey, who played the younger version of Alicent Hightower in the show, talked about the reaction of the cast when they first went to the set. She said, “I’ll be honest, even some of these legendary actors were taken aback by the scale of the set. This is probably one of the biggest TV shows ever, and its predecessor, Game of Thrones, is definitely one of the biggest TV shows ever.”

“It’s a strange little bubble to be in, especially when it was all top-secret. Throughout the first few months of filming, we actually couldn’t tell anyone what we were doing, so we sort of clung to each other. We’d go out for drinks and have a debrief at the end of each week. We literally couldn’t talk to anyone else. But at the same time, I don’t think I would’ve wanted to. As I said, it’s such a niche experience. I don’t think we’ve let go since.”
