Great video Val 👍
Wow, Val. I saw the title of this video and assumed it would be entirely about the wights and white walkers. I’m not even a big horror fan, but it was fascinating to see how many other horror tropes you dug up from the story and show. Good work.
Slowly but surely you are becoming my fav GOT content creator. Keep up the great stuff!
You've hit GRRM's nail right on the head, young Valentina. George R. R. Martin has said many times that the only thing worth writing about is the conflict in the human heart. This is why there are no hard and fast lines between bad guys and good guys. A villain is a hero when viewed from the other side of the battle.
What scares me the most is that it's going to end
This is great!! I went back and flicked the 4K filter on – wow! The detail on the Armillary Globe was outstanding nevertheless I think this is one of my favourite GOT videos the pace content and delivery is simply superb – great work!!
Time to go..I need to make like a sheep…and get the flock outta here – hehehe
I think the most horrifying scene for me in GoT was the scene where Jon wakes up after his resurrection. He breathes hard. Then his eyes drift down to all the opened wounds across his body, immediately realizing that his death wasn't a dream after all. Seriously, imagine experiencing death, waking up, and finding all these opened holes still across your body. o_o
VIdeo excelente, realmente genial
As always, well done Val 👍
bagus dan sangat menegangkan
Thank you as always Val. Have a Happy Halloween.
Amazing.
What scares me most is the chance that GRRM could pull off the most devastating essential character death ever if he ends up dying before finishing the last 2 books! I need Winds of Winter!
I'm totally going to make my husband get me a "name butcha" shirt!!!
Thanks for this great video, Val. I love your gift for explaining these elements of film-making, which I see mostly as self-indulgence by the producers. I know I'm grumpy, but I think I'm often right – which makes your usually spot-on analysis very valuable. I also enjoyed watching your brains at work evaluating the plot elements of this past season(too bad those plot spoilers happened.) Keep up the good work.
Good video, but you can tell that you are reading from a script as you go. Also, usually you have the camera on yourself. Your visual charisma is definitely one of the reasons many like your channel so much! Don't sell yourself short, we love listening to you talk with the camera on as it is much more personal that way, which is I portant. Overall awesome job…keep it up!
What scares me Val is that it’s almost over 😩😭😭😭 really good video tho!!
The twisted shit Ramsay did to people (women in particular) in the books was, for me, as psychological as it gets. Talk about getting images burned into your mind's eye… =O
Well done Val!!
Classic Val! Well done!
I WANNA PUT THIS ON HERE 1st. I GUARANTEE WITHIN 10 Yrs GEORGE R. MARTIN WILL BE IN A PEDOPHILIA STORY!.. I KNOW WHAT HE IS….
"fat pink mast" … makes me shudder every time
In the book "the World of Ice and Fire" it explains the continent of Sothoryos, which is full of horror. giant snakes, crocodiles, diseases, vampire bats, ghouls and ghosts and demons ect.
I just read the latest chapter transcribed from GRRM reading at Balticon. 'The Forsaken' from the POV of Aeron Damphair. It was one of the most intensely grotesque and terrifying things I have ever read. GRRM topped himself with that one. Very disturbing. It made me think GRRM HATES his fans now for enslaving him in 'Fame', so he wants us to SUFFER. HORRIBLE!
No doubt: scariest thing is someone dying in a bad way that you don't want to die; Oberyn Martell. Great video! thanks
Great analysis, Val. The only standard horror GoT lacks is evil ghosts. But absolutely thrives on knowing the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Happy Halloween.
Great vid. Never gave the horror angle much thought until now.
Everyone check out https://salegeek.com/ for the best GOT merch!
Thank you for this wonderful analysis! Sin duda eres la mejor!
Great vid, Val! The scariest thing about Game of Thrones is the fact that is ending soon.
Great video as always.
Well, at least the show doesn't have clowns. Those freak me the heck out!
Hey Val! I only thing that I'm affraid of is knowing that when the HBO GOT Season 8 wraps up. I won't be able to see your Because Geek channel for awhile, until the new GRRM HBO ASOIAF series >_<! The horror!? LOL! Nah, the theme base on before Halloween and how it reflects into the HBO GOT & manily parts of ASOIAF. Truly it details the perils of life & death. "Death is the enemy." "That's why we fight for the living." Kill or be killed, imagine the fear/terror in that world that they are living in? Yikes. And the horror of only listening to a POD CAST, The Side Effects no live stream Q&A.. Lol jk! Phew.. Damn, another long response. Ok with that, SEE YOU IN THE NEXT ONE >_<! BOO! Hehe. Happy Halloween!
This was cool. Reminded me a bit of the Lore podcast with that atmospheric background music.
What scares me most about Game of Thrones is that it's ending
How could you forget the shadow baby/demon that Melisandre gave birth too? The little Scorpion thing the Warlocks tried to kill Daenarys with? Looks like an update! 😉
Cersei is straight Cray-Cray. She has taken nuts to a whole new level. Internal psychological horror? Ding ding ding!
Great job as always Val! Happy Halloween!
I find all the unknowns and unpredictability to be whats frightening. And if there were ice spiders that would make me cringe for sure! Super video thanks Because Geek!!
Hi, Because geek..
