One of the giant beeches featured in HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones which fell victim to the wintery weather last Saturday night is set to be auctioned off to the ‘highest bidder’.
Auctioneer Daniel McAlister ( Daniel McAlister And Son Estate Agents ) said the tree that fell onto land owned by his client James Laverty has instructed him to sell the tree to the ‘highest bidder’.
Speaking to media Daniel McAlister said ‘Whoever wants to buy it can take it. It’s a massive beech tree and thousands of people have seen it. It has fallen in James Laverty’s land. It’s obviously his tree because it is on his ditch and the trees down the left would belong to him.’
It is understood that the tree will be advertised on the firms social media pages in the coming days.
Mr McAlister concluded – ‘We are open to offers from the highest bidder’
