There is much ado about filming in this week’s Game of Thrones news. The largest green screen we’ve ever seen is being erected for season 8, we review Amazon Prime’s Britannia as well as the film Annihilation. Let’s get started. Mind the SPOILERS.

The Westerosi police department was called to the scene of a massive battle on the corner of King’s Road and Winterfell Way. No suspects have been named, but eyewitnesses say the infamous gang leader, Night King was seen in the area. And now for your seven-day forecast.

What could all those fake corpses outside the Winterfell set in Moneyglass, Northern Ireland mean? We’re not 100% positive, but we see dead people.

Behold, the King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios is coming together quite nicely. And what’s that discolorization on the stone around those towers? We’re not saying dragons did it, but we’re not, not saying it either.

Magheramorne Quarry, the place used for Caste Black, the cave of The Three-Eyed Raven, and Hardhome is getting a freaking huge green screen.

What could that massive green screen be used for? We speculate.

While you wait for Game of Thrones season 8, why not give Amazon Prime’s Britannia a try? It’s a nice mixture of batsh*t crazy and wildly inaccurate historical fiction…but it’s fun!

Our own Richard Preston reviewed the film Annihilation.

Entertainment Weekly released a bevy of all-new photos for Westworld season 2.

Photos surfaced from Linen Mill Studios, where the set for Riverrun is located, as well as the ship set from season 7’s sea battle.

Finally, we took a vast deep-dive and asked the all-consuming question: Why is The Winds of Winter taking so long to write?
