The real Time Lord is…. Nicholas Cage. No, seriously.
What if the Tardis used photons released from a specific period of time, since those are kicking about all over the place, and utilizes the fact that those photons contain entangled information from that exact moment in time (basically a tiny time capsule) to open a wormhole back to the photon's origin point?
I mean sure there's still the issue that space-time isn't at all like the other 3 dimensions and to go back in time you'd essentially need to reset the positions of every iota of matter and energy into the exact positions they were in at that moment throughout the entire universe… but hey, I can God Mode when I need to! ;D
