THOR: RAGNAROK is hitting theaters, giving us another epic Marvel movie that features our favorite heroes: The Avengers. This means The Hulk and Thor will yet again be featured in the same movie, giving us another chance to watch in awe as they enact astounding feats of strength. So far, Marvel hasn’t given a straight answer as to which one of these ultra-powerful heroes has the most brawn, even though they’ve gone head-to-head multiple times in the movies and comics. But that ends today, Loyal Theorists! With the power of math, science, and research, I will reveal which Avenger is strongest!

  1. At the end, he compares a foot to a hand, but shouldn't Thor be stronger as he uses just his hand to crush the suit where as Hulk uses his entire body to just crush the floor with his feet. Either that, or your forgot to include some information, or I just don't get how you're conveying the information.

  2. I like how this entire comments section has erupted in to Mattpat not taking in to account all the muscles Thor and Hulk have. Feel like that has been happening a lot in these "theories" lately… >.>

  3. Might be late to say this since this video was released before the new Thor Movie but whatevs
    SPOILERS btw

But in the new movie they always repeat that Thor is the GOD of Thunder. So….he IS a god. (And yes I know they mentioned that they die but idk how to explain that part)
Even the villain (AKA His and Loki’s older sister) seems aware of the fact that he is a god. She asks him” What are you the god of again?” (She does know but Thor and her were fighting and she was getting cocky) .

NO ONE GET ALL PISSY PISSY AT ME. IM NOT SAYING THAT IM A KNOW-IT-ALL OR WHATEVER ASSUMPTION YOU MAY HAVE OR THAT I DIDNT PUT A SPOILER. because I clearly did and you probably just skipped it.

  4. If you payed attention to ragnorak you would know that Odin said the hammer is just a conduit, the real power is in Thor himself. Why not use the new movie you saw as a reference point as well? There was a whole scene in the new one where Thor was literally beating hulk in a one on one. That a huge thing to consider!

  5. MatPat just compared Thor's grip strength to Hulk putting his arms, his back, and even legs into attempting to lift the hammer, and then called it at that.
Grip strength alone does not equal arms, back, or leg strength.

  6. But… By your evidence, it's clear Thor is stronger! Hulk used both arms and probably his back muscles to attempt to pick up Mjolnir, Thor used 1 hand to crush Gold-Titanium Alloys Man's arm. Considering that the bicep muscle will always be stronger than any muscle in your hand and Hulks force was only a bit more that of Thor, its clear Thor is stronger!

  7. Mat pat please acknowledge and spoilers for those who see this. In Thor ragnorok we see something new which I’m sure in the making, you wanted to mention. In the movie, he looses his hammer, but also learns how to channel his energy without it, and we see him KICK HULKS BUTT. And not even a strategy or anything, he just hit hard, and took hits harder. We even see the only reason Thor lost was because he was temporarily paralyzed by the game keeper. And then we see him do things that even without doing the math seems like it would make Thor stronger.

  8. Mat pat pls do a theory on "is Hide dead?" on tokyo ghoul route A, cause you are so good at theorising and im rly curios bout hide, pls read this and put time to it, i eally don't want hide to be dead, plssss

  9. Matpat, i love ya, but you TOTALLY glossed over the fact that mulnear (or however it’s spelt) was obliterated, and without its power to control Thor, he was able to nearly destroy Hulk. It’s just that he got shocked (which is ironic that the god of thunder can’t take a 4,000 volt shock from a tiny machine)

  10. You didn't include World War Hulk…. The battle with sentry ended in a draw….. Sentry had the power of 1 trillion suns. The sun has the power of 1,838,095,238 Tsar Bombas or 100 billion one-megaton nuclear bombs exploding. You need 1.8380952e+21 tsar Bombas (which is the biggest and most powerful bomb in history to match sentry's power. And the battle ended in a DRAW. Impressive!

  11. This theory is very good and well thought out, but now keep in mind that this has all been put together before Matt saw Thor: Ragnarok. In that movie, it clearly shows that Thor is A LOT more powerful than he was in the previous movies.

  12. Only issue I can see here is the final piece of evidence you submit is the difference between the strength in Hulks legs and Thors hand. Is that even a fair comparison? Especially since he wouldn't be lifting with just his hands or feet, he'd be lifting with his whole body (and hopefully not straining his back to do so).

If thor can get as close as he does to that level of pressure with one hand, then surely that should indicate he's stronger? Just because he didn't chance pushing a hole in the earth to lift his hammer doesn't mean he's weaker, just means he's in more control than the Hulk is.
