When you look back, after watching season 7 and realize he actually got a theory right.

THe issue i once had with this theory is that John got burnt when he picked up a lantern in season 1 before he killed his first wright. I thought if he had the blood of the dragon, he would be immune to heat and fire, like his Aunt and wouldnt be hurt at all.

As of Season 7 Epidode 5: Eastwatch, this is pretty much confirmed. While reading a record from High Septon Maynard, Gilly says that the Septon "issued an annulment for a Prince Raggar (Presumably Rhaegar) and remarried him to someone else at the same time in a secret ceremony in Dorne." Good job Mat!
