EMILIA Clarke’s new horror series Murder Manual has given fans the creeps as they get their first look at the new anthology drama.
Emilia, 33, stars a Malu, a mysterious young woman held captive by a circus who has escaped her husband’s torment only to become haunted by a disturbing memory.
Murder Manual comprises eight standalone stories including Emilia’s which is actually a short film called Shackled that she starred in back in 2012.
Other stories in the series include one little girl’s journey from a world of nightmares into the nightmare of reality, a couple’s romantic getaway in Palm Springs which turns to murder and a woman’s rideshare that becomes deadly.
While the eight episodes tell different stories, producers have confirmed they are all connected in some way and encouraged viewers to pay close attention the whole way through.
Fans reacted with terror to the creepy trailer and TV critic Marian Phillips at Screen Rant said the range of filmmakers on board to direct episodes will make it more interesting for viewers.
She wrote: “New and exciting individuals are entering horror with their contributions to Murder Manual that are sure to entice a range of fans with its bloody terror.”
Murder Manual marks the Game of Thrones‘ actress first foray into the horror genre.
She has spent lockdown at home in London with a mystery man, after her West End production of The Seagull was put on hold because of the coronavirus.
The actress has been doing her bit to raise funds for coronavirus efforts.
She recently auctioned off a dinner date with herself to try and raise £250,000 to support brain injury patients.
In a video announcing her fundraiser: “Dearest ones, from my isolation booth I write to you with a plea for help!
“Due to the current frightening and ever changing coronavirus emergency please would you help me raise £250,000, by donating through the link in my Bio, to provide stroke and brain injury patients with essential support!!”
Emilia added: “This fund will also help in freeing up the hospital beds needed to deal with the pandemic, to care for those who also need a space to heal.
“100% of your generosity will fund virtual rehab clinic support in the coming weeks… a very big task and a very big ask but you are all very big hearted souls so I know you’ll want to help me help them! @sameyouorg.”
Emilia founded SameYou in March last year after suffering two brain aneurysms during her early days on Game of Thrones, where she played Daenerys Targaryen.
