Prime Video has released the first trailer for Run Sweetheart Run, a new horror thriller coming out just in time for Halloween.
Resident Evil star Ella Balinska plays Cherie, a woman who is set up on a blind date with Ethan, played by Game of Thrones‘ Pilou Asbæk, by her boss.
All seems fine at first, Ethan is charming and sweeps Cherie off her feet. But the trailer shows that things go very wrong as we see a battered and terrified Cherie fleeing for her life.

The synopsis describes the film as “a relentless game of cat-and-mouse with a bloodthirsty assailant hell-bent on [Cherie’s] utter destruction”.
It continues: “In this edge-of-your-seat dark thriller, Cherie finds herself in the crosshairs of a conspiracy stranger and more evil than she could have ever imagined.”
If you’re intrigued, you don’t have to wait long to see how it all plays out, as Run Sweetheart Run drops on Prime Video on October 28.

Asbæk has got some other projects in the pipeline, including psychological thriller series Invitation to a Bonfire, which he stars in alongside She Hulk: Attorney at Law‘s Tatiana Maslany. Due for release next year, the plot revolves around a dangerous love triangle at an all-girls boarding school.
He’s also got a role in Salem’s Lot, an adaptation of one of Stephen King’s earliest works, about a group of people who band together to fight off a vampire. Unfortunately, there is not currently a release date for Salem’s Lot.
Run Sweetheart Run will be available to stream on Prime Video from October 28
