HBO wrapped filming on the pilot episode for (the first of) its Game of Thrones prequel series a few months back. Since then, we presume showrunner Jane Goldman has been busy with post-production, maybe even showing the episode off to execs at the network and waiting for a decision over whether they want to pick it up to series.

And while that’s going on, the sleuths over at Watchers on the Wall have uncovered even more actors who appeared in the pilot, which already has a pretty expansive cast that includes heavy hitters like Naomi Watts and Miranda Richardson. The more we hear about this show — which is set thousands of years before the main series, long before the Targaryens came to Westeros or the Wall was even built — the more ambitious it looks.

Anyway, on to the new actors, starting with theater actress Leah Gayer, who according to her CV is playing a character named “Caera.”

Not much we can tell just from the name, although I’ll not that her CV lists the project as “BLOODMOON.” Technically, the prequel still doesn’t have an official name, but Bloodmoon is definitely the one we’ve heard most frequently.

Next up, actor Jasper Britton (that’s him on the right below) will be playing “House Master Cole.”

Given his age, Britton obviously has more experience than Gayer, appearing in his share of movies, TV shows and plays over the years. In terms of a name, “House Master Cole” gives us a little more to work with. Is he the master of a house named Cole, or is it possible that he literally works for House Cole, a noble house from the Stormlands? Either way, he’s some kind of authority figure.

Moving on, Georgina Beedle will be the prequel, although there’s no role listed.

This isn’t the only project Beedle has done with HBO. She’s also appearing in the upcoming Catherine the Great miniseries, acting alongside Helen Mirren. That’s class, people.

Finally, veteran actor actress Jacqueline Boatswain will be in the prequel, although again, her CV doesn’t specify a role.

Boatswain has done plenty of TV work, appearing in shows like Carnival RowHollyoaks, Shameless and TorchwoodWatchers points out that HBO was looking to cast “a black woman somewhere between her forties and sixties” a while back. Could Coatswain be playing that character, whoever she is?

Hopefully we won’t have to wait too much longer to get answers to these questions!
