On Friday, August 14, the second video postcard of Dubrovnik was broadcast and the theme this time was the ever popular connection between the HBO series Game of Thrones and Dubrovnik.
Organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the City of Dubrovnik the video was shown through the social networks both the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Croatian National Tourist Board and proved a hit. Dubrovnik played King’s Landing in Game of Thrones for six seven seasons from 2011 to 2018. Almost 200,000 people have already watched the short video clip and it has an impressive reach of 370,000 already.
Following the promotion of Dubrovnik via the Game of Thrones video postcard the Dubrovnik Tourist Board presented a free Game of Thrones themed tour for 10 followers via their Instagram profile.
The lucky winners had a special tour today with one of the best known Game of Thrones guides in the city, Ivan Vukovic. The Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities granted them free admission to the walls as part of the tour, and the director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board Ana Hrnić greeted the GOT fans.
