Y'know, you've asked me a thousand times, and rudely enough I've never answered:

Now that that's out of the way… WOOHOO, great to see you tackling Game of Thrones! With Season 7 about to end and reportedly a VERY VERY long hiatus before the last season begins, this is an excellent time to revisit the series by re-experiencing it with you. It was really striking in your clips, actually, how much the seeds for what we're going through now were planted even all the way back here (and I say that because less than 50% of the characters you saw are still alive, so, y'know, that can be distracting from what's going on with the big plot in the background 🙂 ) Pretty much the same rules as Gravity Falls, right? No outright spoilers, but the occasional tease is irresistible. 😉

By the way, it's worth noting that Game of Thrones was one of my recommendations in that (Ahem) 100 question comment. 😉 So I'm glad to think I may have influenced the choice in any way, even subconsciously.

I think my favorite character from just this episode was the King, he's so callously laid back for a monarch that I find it hilarious. 😉 Although Bran was definitely in my top five, to be sure. Just remember, ground rules for this series:

1) Don't get attached to anyone. And I mean ANYone.
2) No one is safe. Main characters? Bah. Children? I think the number of child corpses by Season 7 is in the dozens, if not hundreds. Old ladies or animals or pretty much anything? Fair game.
3) It might be worth taking notes, especially in the beginning. It can be a little complicated, figuring out what the Seven Kingdoms are and how they connect, who's related to whom, what's going on…
4) A Lannister always pays his debts. 🙂

I think that's about it. Can't wait to see more!

It's a great show. And you'll find yourself getting really emotionally invested in the show and really hating some of the characters, lol.
It's pretty brutal in places, but if you can tolerate that, you should enjoy the show. It did take me about 2 or 3 episodes to really get into it. But I was hooked by the end of the first season (episode 10).
