It's crazy how one scene can totally change your opinion of a character!

This scene is really Jaime's turning point. He was a bad guy to us for the first two seasons, unhonourable and antagonistic. We wanted him to get his comeuppance, but then things got quite a bit worse for him than we had hoped. After that, we realised he tried to do the right thing whenever he could. He saved Kings Landing from Aerys, he set Brienne up to help the Stark girls, he freed Tyrion from an undeserved death sentence, he presented a good deal to Edmure, and most recently, he was appalled with Cersei going mad queen. I'm sure if Jaime will last, he'll either work towards a good end, or go out in a blaze of glory.

If game of thrones ever ends they need to make a movie about the days with the mad king and as ending roberts rebellion where jaime kills the mad king.
