Ned Stark’s men ride up to the Tower of Joy. The Kingsguard await and prepare, as Bran and the Three-eyed crow watch on in a vision. Bran recognizes his father and Ser Arthur Dayne in the Kingsguard, and the Raven points out Howland Reed, Meera’s father, beside Ned. Ned wonders why the Kingsguard wasn’t there to protect Rhaegar, and they say Rhaegar wanted them at the Tower. Ned asks where his sister is. The Kingsguard arm for battle and Ned’s men draw their swords. A battle breaks out. Neds men surround Arthur Dayne, who holds them off with two swords until only Ned remains. Ned and Dayne fight. Arthur has Ned beat, but Howland Reed stabs Arthur in the back. Ned finishes Dayne off. Ned hears screaming from inside the Tower. Bran wants to know what’s in the Tower, but the Raven says it’s time to go. Bran tries to follow Ned, but the Raven pulls him out.

Never bring a sword to a two swords fight
During his peak Ser Gerold Hightower was the greatest swordsman of The Kingsguard, then it became Ser Barristan Selmy during his peak and on the end Ser Arthur Dayne, the sword of the morning, the one Knight every boy wanted to be.
Noh. Nowy tends
2:08 is my favorite part 4v1 and he destroys darth maul style but getting more kills.. and a shitty death for him to just like maul.
I mean these people are so retarded. With this big of a man advantage you could keep on or two behind and use ranged weapons like a crossbow, whil the other keep him busy.
good thing no one brought a bow
dayne is the fucking master
That was a bad ass comeback line "No…now it ends!"
just gonna point it out cause no one has – Three Eyed Raven is fucking Esbern from Skyrim!
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the hell out of this fight, but it bothers me that the man who fought so beautifully here gets killed over nothing really. Robert killed Rhaegar, Jaimie killed the mad king, and Ned's just trying to get to his sister and obviously would not harm her. What are you fighting for, man?
I regcognize the actor who playes Ned in this scene but i don't know he's name.
"Father said he was the best swords man he ever saw."
"The best swords man did not have a sword."
lets be honest here if he didn't have two swords he would of been fucked
Elsewhere, the Doctor is drawn to Westeros by the presence of another time traveler, takes a look around.
"Nope. Not gonna touch this with a ten foot sonic screwdriver."
This is either my favorite fight scene or maybe the one with Arya and that assassin chick who disguised herself with the many faces. When they were sparring with the staff weapons, it was pretty cool especially when Arya was blind at the time and she still was doing pretty well.
Literally the best sword fight I have ever seen!
Epic …
900 item lvl fury warrior
i wonder if Bran contributes to Neds ptsd issues he hears the battles and swords clashing in season 1. so who knows what a distance ghostly voice yelling father might do to him considering he hears those sounds from that time when those battles were going on, and bran just randomly yells out just after a big sword fight. did that haunt him for years? did he ever wonder what it meant
bran knows it was unfair from the beginning right? he is supposed to be smart yet can't count? lol. the world isn't fair and grow up it's war. ned was still a boss while you are just a cripple bran! lol I can't help any slight to my man Ned or the North I have to say something. lol
nuuuuh. nowitenzzz
he sticks his sword in the ground before the fight and pulls it out of his belt when the fight starts
Is Howland Reed still alive or..? What happened to him?
Greatest medieval sword fight I've ever seen.
Why is stabbing so dishonrable? It happends all the time on the battelfield.
For anyone who thinks this was a good fight, look at the guy in the background wenn they are standing 4 vs 1 around Arthur Dayne. I really want to enjoy this fight, but somehow it feels too staged and badly acted. It feels so unreal.
Noor. Now attends.
4:11 That scream was the icing on the cake of that episode because we all know what is could mean.
I feel like the mad King had some heavy hitters in his Kings guard. And to think Barristan Selmy was better than Arthur Dane.
Why isn't the guy who played 20 to 30 something year old Ned Stark in more things ? He needs to be in more things.
what if viserys, knowing they'd been defeated, fled to the tower of joy in search of rhaegar's heir and found twins in the arms of lyanna stark. He could only take one child and so chose the one with silver hair leaving jon snow behind. Ned hears the kidnapping here however it is too late to stop viserys but not too late to hear his sisters dying wish… "promise me ned… promise to keep my children safe…"
