  1. I was so unprepared for that.
I could feel my stomach sinking, and I get to press pause whenever I want, and am not involved.
I can't imagine how these soldiers had enough morale to even attempt to hold the line after that first pass of the dragon.

  2. Great scene and the amazing work that had to take place to make it happen BUT . . . as a viewer I was constantly screaming at the screen:

    1) "Dany, don't attack the line head on, flank it." Why attack it head on when Drogon could just strafe the line from the side, as it did to the loot train, to open up a 100 ft gap instead of just 20? Made no sense to me tactically.

    2) Why attack the loot train to begin with. Dany could have used the food and other supplies.

    3) Had to yell at the screen again when, after the 1st missed shot, Dany flew straight at the Scorpion a 2nd time. Drogon could have just circled the Scorpion and hit it from the side or behind before Bronn could get off another shot. Why do that?

    4) Reminded me of the why Rickon failed to bob and weave when Ramsey was shooting arrows at him. Even the indians in Apocalypto knew to do that!

    5) Guess they couldn't let Bronn die yet, because he had to save Jaime from being burnt alive after making his heroic but stupid straight line jousting attack on Dany.

    6) Figured out it was Bronn who saved Jaime because there was a white horse near Bronn, when he jumped off the Scorpion before Drogon destroyed it w/fire and his tail. The guy who saved Jaime was riding a white horse. Thought it might be Dickon but he was riding a brown horse.

    7) Lastly, why was the water so deep that Jaime sank in it? Weren't they just on the lakeshore? I would have thought that Jaime and Bronn could have just stood up in knee deep water rather than sink in deep water ala Jason Bourne. Made for good special effects ending for the episode but didn't make much sense given the location.

However, despite the various plot holes that I perceived, I loved the scene and thought it was great! It obviously took an enormous amount of time, energy and technical expertise to pull it off. Well done!

  3. one of the few times good training and discipline was actually detrimental. if they broke and run most of them wouldn't have been turned to charcoal. sure most of them would die anyway but better to die by a sword cut than to burn alive.

  4. I am still shaken after watching that it was such an emotional rollercoaster. In any other series you know which people who will survive but in GOT anyone can die and you kind of like everyone so it´s so cringing to watch. This episode was hands down the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life!

  5. The scene would have been perfect if a few of the Lannisters soldiers broke ranks and ran when the Dothraki was charging and then when the dragon showed… more ran and even attacked the commanders who tried to keep them in ranks… Yup, that'd have completed the scene.
