  1. Chains are from Hardhome. Night King knew what was going to happen, specifically there waiting for Dany and dragons to show so he could nab a dragon (probably to melt through the Wall). He let Dany and company escape with the wight he practically gave to them. Night King let it happen the way it was supposed to happen – which is why he didn't aim for the big stationary dragon nearest to him on which all the people were sitting with the captured wight. Night King either greenseer, or, been talking to a greenseer who is telling him what to do.

  2. What I don't get is, how the lake was frozen over when they've just put chains on the Dragon. The lake would need a hole in it for them to bring the top of the chains to the surface.

  3. night king doesn't need scorpion, with those killer moves and now he has a dragon, that's deadly enough and since he touched the dragon in order to turn it ( remember that baby ), this could mean the dragon is a white walker, not an ordinary white.
