Game of Thrones actor hints some of the main characters will have blue eyes – GOT Season 8
FANS have been busy speculating about what will unfold in the final season of Game Of Thrones.
According to The Sun, many noticed the big emphasis on procreation and the importance of heirs in the final few episodes, particularly in relation to Daenerys Targareyn (Emilia Clarke) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
Now focus has even shifted to what appeared to be a throwaway scene between Jamie Lannister (Nicolaj Coster-Waldau) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn).
The pair provided a bit of comedy in the tense episode as they spoke about male genitalia.
According to Variety, Jamie’s comment “maybe it really is all c***s in the end” could be foreshadowing the importance of baby-making in the kingdoms.
While Game of Thrones characters are more than aware of the importance and power linked to sex, they are even more aware of the importance of producing heirs.
Ruling queen Cersei chose to create children with her twin brother in order to keep their family power while the Targaryens famously practised incest in order to keep their bloodline pure.
Daenerys believes she can no longer have children thanks to a witch’s curse, however her adviser Tyrion Lannister made it clear that she still needs to name her heirs to solidify her lineage.
While Jon Snow seemed to hint that the dragon Queen might be surprised by her child-bearing capabilities despite the witch’s claims.
Women and their ability to bear offspring were clearly taking the centrestage towards the final episodes of the season and the final season could potentially see at least one of the enemy queens give birth to the next generation of rulers.
Meanwhile Nicolaj Coster-Waldau has hinted his character Jamie could be seen bending the knee for Daenerys in the final season.
Jamie was seen turning his back on his twin sister/lover Cersei in dramatic scenes during the series seven finale.
The character had a tense exchange in which Jamie made it clear he could would rather join Daenerys and Jon Snow’s fight against the Night King as promised, rather than doublecross them to take back the realm.
Now the Danish star has revealed he believes his character will try and become an ally to Jon Snow and Daenerys so they can defeat the white walkers.
He told Esquire magazine: “He has to get to some sort of commander, whether it be Jon Snow or someone else in charge.”
But seeing as Jon has officially pledged his allegiance to his queen Dany, it would seem Jamie would likely have to do the same.
The actor also admitted he hopes his character wouldn’t be killed by a white walker because it “would suck”.
He mused: “You know some of the main characters are going to get turned. There are going to be some blue-eyed main characters running around.”
He continued: “And, god, I hope it’s not me. That’s three hours of make-up in the morning.
