Games of Thrones actor Kit Harington was presented with a Manchester United shirt by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after their 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.
The shirt had ‘King in the North’ on the back and it was given to Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the series, and he posed for a picture with the United boss.
The club then posted the picture on social media with the caption: “From one King in the North to another. Great to welcome Game of Thrones star and MUFC fan Kit Harington to Old Trafford on Sunday.”
Chris Smalling was clearly excited to meet the actor as he posted a picture of himself and Harington on Instagram.
He said: “Of course the King in the North is a red. Great to meet you Kit, can’t wait for the new season to start.”
The eighth, and final, season of Game of Thrones begins in April.
Harington is not the only Manchester United fan among the cast of the hit HBO show.
John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly, previously presented Marcus Rashford with the player of the month prize.
Smalling played all 90 minutes as United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford despite numerous injury problems.
Solskjaer’s side travel to Crystal Palace on Wednesday for their next Premier League match.
