saw Tyrion Lannister (played by Peter Dinklage) turn his back on Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) after his siblings Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) were killed at the hands of her blaze.

Fans will remember the Warden of the West walking through the remains of the city in shock at the devastation that surrounded him.

Some would argue it was his journey to the Red Keep that sealed Daenerys’ fate as he was no longer blinded by love and saw her actions for what they were.

Moreover, he opened up Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) eyes, who later killed the Mother of Dragons.

Tyrone said: “I know you love her. I love her too, but not as successfully as you, but I believed in her with all my heart. Love is more powerful than reason.”

He then told Jon to kill Daenerys, saying that duty is the death of love and that killing Daenerys would be the right thing for the people, which of course Jon followed through on.

However, what if Tyrion had stayed loyal to Daenerys?

Reddit user 13elltovver shared their theory of how the series would end, speculating Tyrion was pleased with Cerise’s death.

The user began: “How I thought it would end after the siege: Tyrion turns bitter, he didnt care a lot for the people, mass murder was clearly bad, Queen of the ashes like he said is not a good thing.

“But, instead of turning into a traitor, he stays loyal, he knows that Dany didn’t kill Jaime on purpose and is very grateful that she killed Cersei, who he really hated like he hated his father.

“After all his revenge would be complete being Warden of the West, Lord of Casterly Rock and building his own Lannister Dynasty. All of them being children of the hated Imp.

In this moment he realises he fully turned into his father, he was the son Tywin always wanted. He needed to be so he could have his revenge.

Moreover, the user speculated Tyrion would continue his role as Daenerys’ Hand, adding to the chaos Daenerys would have created had she made it to the Iron throne.

The user continued: “That turns him into a very competent and efficient, but also into a very bitter, even more cynical and cruel Hand of the Dragonqueen.

“In her name he will weave webs of deception and intrigue, he will let the people of the realm mercilessly bleed for gold and influence, do whatever his queen wants him to do, while not being shy of making his house great again in the process.

As long as he is Hand, no Master of Whisperers is ever appointed again, he personally takes this duties.”

Would fans accept an ending that saw Tyrion turn evil like Daenerys?

Meanwhile, another fan predicts

Reddit user trooflaw said: “You could argue that Jaime did nothing for the war against the AotD and thus his goal for saving Jaime (knowing Jaime would betray them), was that Jaime ultimately guaranteed Cersei’s death where it otherwise may not have been.”

Could Bran have saved Jamie knowing he would die with Cersei in the Red Keep?
