Game of Thrones adorned the crown of the best TV show of the 21st century, and the crown was star-studded with some of the best talents on the planet. The series had a long list of lost/underused characters. Fans have often wondered what happened to them, as the books aren’t complete yet. One of them was Joseph Mawle’s Benjen Stark, and we never see him again after he rescues Jon Snow from the army of White Walkers and wights. Mawle will be seen once again playing a significant role in the Yellowstone prequel drama ‘1923’.

1923 tells the story of a previous generation of the Dutton family as they work to establish the ranching empire featured in “Yellowstone.” Mawle will star as Captain Shipley, described as “the captain of a British cargo ship, who has seen a lot during his years at sea.”

Mawle was last seen playing one of the big bads in House of The Dragon’s biggest rival The Lords of The Rings: Rings of Power. For a lot of fans, from both the Game of Thrones and The Lord of The Rings community, it came as a shock when actor Joseph Mawle (Benjen Stark from Game of Thrones), whose mysterious character Adar was hyped even before the series was released, announced his departure from the prequel show.
