Hollywood stars have been spotted mingling with residents in a village pub in North Wales amid reports that they’re shooting a new film in the area.
Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon was seen at a bar in the village of Felinheli outside Caernarfon last Friday where he chatted and posed for pictures with fans.
The 34-year-old, who was born in Carmarthen but has family links to Gwynedd, is well known for his roles in E4’s Misfits, Our Girl on BBC, ITV’s Vicious as well as his portrayal of the ultimate villain Ramsay Bolton in hit TV show Game of Thrones.
His most recent appearance has been in the biographical film The Dirt on Netflix in which he played Mick Mars from the American rock band Mötley Crüe.
He was joined by Erin Richards – known to legions of Batman fans for her role as Barbara Kean in US TV series Gotham – at the pub who also spent time mingling with locals.
The two Welsh actors are part of an all-star cast which includes Stephanie Leonidas (Defiance), Lex Shrapnel (Medici), and Ella-Rae Smith (Into the Badlands) who are in North Wales shooting a new horror film.
The movie, called ‘Suppression’, is directed by American filmmaker J. Mackye Gruber who is best known for co-writing Final Destination 2 (2003) and directing The Butterfly Effect (2004).

It has been reported that Suppression follows a grieving couple (Rheon and Leonidas) who are given treatment to suppress their violent urges.
The film is financed by New York outfit Double M Ventures, but has also received financially and logistically support by Snowdonia Studios and the national body Screen Wales, which encourages film and television productions to use locations, crew and facilities throughout Wales.
The film is the latest in a long line of productions set in North Wales over recent years.
They include HBO’s highly anticipated Watchmen series and the hit TV Netflix show The Crown, the latter of which will be airing on our screens very soon.
