Coronavirus has definitely given the UK a ‘we’re all in this together’ mentality as we help those who are vulnerable and in need of help – and some TV stars from Love Island and Game Of Thrones have taken it all the way to the frontline.

Whether it’s being a care worker, a delivery driver, an A&E nurse or just being a phone call to those who are vulnerable, some stars have gone above and beyond to go to work for those who need it most.

As we come over the peak of the crisis, we round-up the TV stars who have made amazing efforts to lend a hand in the country’s time of need.

Here’s just some of the stars who have taken to the frontline to help out where they can…

Love Island’s Dr Alex George

Dr Alex George has been right in the heart of the fight against coronavirus by working in A&E during this difficult time.

The former Love Island star has been open and honest about what he’s been dealing with both in interviews and on social media, admitting there have been days where he returned home in tears.

He’s been a strong advocate in encouraging fellow members of the NHS to seek help for their mental health instead of putting it off as the struggle on the frontline takes its toll.

In order to make his patients laugh, he even put his Love Island promo photo on his scrubs so they could recognise him underneath the PPE.

Eastenders’ Louisa Lytton

Louisa, who plays Ruby Allen on the BBC soap, has been putting her newfound free time on her hands by working on the NHS frontline.

Volunteering on the phones for the NHS, the star revealed she’d been lending a hand to those who might be needing someone to talk to or some help.

On her Instagram Stories, Louisa snapped a show of her view as she sat on a kerb opposite a car.

On the picture, she wrote: ‘Work out done. Comfies on. Back to the car park I go. This will be my spot for the calls I’ll be making as an NHS volunteer.’

The star is best known to fans of the fantasy series as Bowen Marsh – Lord Steward Of The Night’s Watch – but with tough times ahead he’s taken up to helping others with deliveries around Belfast.

Speaking to Belfast Live, he said: ‘Every single person has a role to play in these times. People now should really appreciate the hard work that everybody does.

Thankfully, the results came back negative, and she got back to work on 21 April.

‘I got my two negative swabs and started back on the wards today!,’ she said. ‘I won’t deny how anxious I was to face the inevitable changes to my job role & department but I can’t put into words how happy I am to be back at work.’

While working on the frontline, Rachel has been posting positive messages and updates about coping with the stress of coronavirus, offering help and advice on her Instagram.

Unfortunately, he applied for the job too late and was rejected.

Sharing a screenshot of his rejection letter on Twitter, he joked to fans: ‘Absolutely livid @Tesco. I was only trying to do my bit.

‘I hope the better person got and enjoys the job, I’ll be watching.’
