GOT’s Alfie Allen posted photos of the cast backstage at the Emmys (Picture: Rex; Alfie Allen)

We’re not sure what our favourite part of awards ceremonies are – actually finding out who won or seeing all the fun photos posted by the cast of our favourite shows behind-the-scenes.

The latest snaps posted by the Game of Thrones cast at last night’s Emmys are making us lean towards the latter.

The GOT cast came out with two big trophies at last night’s awards, having received an impressive thirty-two nominations overall and celebrated their win by reuniting backstage for a selfie to celebrate their win.

But, if you’re looking at the photo and thinking something’s not quite right, you’d be correct. Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow in the HBO series, doesn’t appear to be in the photo.

It’s not too clear why, as he was present at the awards and got up on stage with the rest of the cast and crew to collect their award for Outstanding Drama Series, but hey, maybe he got hungry and needed a snack, to which we say, absolutely fair enough.

Alfie Allen, who plays Theon Greyjoy, also posted a cute selfie with Maisie Williams doing a ‘peace sign’ in the theatre before the show began as well as a photo of the cast and crew together with the caption ‘FAM. I <3 these lot so much’.

Due to the show broadcasting its eighth and final season earlier this year – and getting mixed reviews from fans – this will be the final time the show will be able to be nominated for any awards at the ceremony, so it’s unlikely we’ll see too many photos of the entire cast at awards shows together from here on out. Sad face.

The other top award on the night went to Peter Dinklage, who won his fourth Emmy Award for playing the role of Tyrion Lannister in the cult show. Kit and Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, both narrowly missed out on lead actor and lead actress in a drama series respectively.

Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), who also enjoyed a cute reunion with former on-screen sort-of-brother Kit inside the Microsoft Theatre in LA, and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) were also nominated for their supporting roles in the series.

Game Of Thrones earlier also took home 10 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys last week, including a gong for outstanding special visual effects, outstanding main title design and outstanding casting for a drama series.
