Game Of Thrones’ prequel Bloodmoon is now destined to become its own legend after being mysteriously axed after just one pilot episode.

Fans of the Westeros fantasy series were already gearing up for the Naomi Watts-led prequel series following its highly publicized filming, which wrapped in July this year.

There was even a passing of the baton moment with Lena Headey and Gwendoline Christie posing with Naomi as the newest resident of Westeros.

The group got together at the Emmys this year for a small moment that almost guaranteed Naomi’s presence in the Seven Kingdoms…but nope, just like that, the rug’s been pulled out from us.

While it seems unlikely that the pilot will now ever see the light of day, there are still a couple of bits and pieces we can look back on in order to piece together our own ideas.

One of the biggest spoilers that made its way online was a look at Naomi on set in a regal gold dress and blonde wig.

The star was holding up the floor length gown, revealing sandals as she strolled with members of the production team.

In another photo, Naomi, who had spoken openly about her new role, posted selfies from her trailer which saw her pull faces in the mirror in a wig cap as a distinct blonde wig was seen in the background.

It’s rumoured that Naomi would be playing Florys the Fox, who, according to Westeros folklore, kept three husbands (none of whom knew about each other).

Her sons became the founders of House Florent, House Ball and House Peake, but she could’ve potentially been the mother to fourth son Lann the Clever.

Lann the Clever was the eventual founder the Lannister family.

The team from the show went out of their way to make sure nothing was leaked of the series, and did a pretty good job as well – with the only other thing apart from a few shots of Naomi being of a narrowboat.

Shot in Ireland, fans believed the crest on the ship was a mark of the Starks – or bore an early version of the house logo.

Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon is yet to be given a release date.
