Game Of Thrones’ Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) has revealed that the showrunners pranked him with a fake script – but things definitely didn’t go to plan.

There are some things you can’t joke about and Theon’s demise is one of them.

The 32-year-old, who was nominated for an Emmy this year after submitting his own name, explained that showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss gave him a fake script which prematurely killed off Theon.

However, ever the professional, Alfie just ran with it.

‘I kind of just took it on the chin and got on with it,’ the actor said on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

It took three weeks for the pair to give up on the joke and give the star a call, with them fearing he’d be ‘tearing his hair out.’

‘But I wasn’t, I was sunbathing,’ he pointed out.

Your fave could never.

In fact, fans have recently been taking a moment to appreciate how far the star’s come after his sister Lily branded him ‘lazy’ and ‘jobless’ in her song Alfie.

Lily, 34, sings about her little bro ‘wasting his life away’ watching TV and playing computer games (we’ve all been there) in the 2006 pop track from her album, Alright Still.

And after he was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Theon Greyjoy on Game Of Thrones, the whole thing just got pretty funny.

Meanwhile, Sophie Turner previously revealed the lengths GOT bosses went to in order to keep set secrets, including giving the cast scripts that would ‘self-destruct.’

No, seriously.

‘Yeah, it’s all true. I mean, we wouldn’t get anything physical. We would have it on an app. We would get sent sides for the scene [we were shooting] the next day. So we would have to learn it all the day before,’ she told Digital Spy.

‘And once you’ve read it, it disappears 24 hours later, and you can never access it again. It’s tighter than the White House security!’

She also divulged that anyone visiting the set would have stickers placed over their phone’s camera so no one could take photos, and the GOT production was given a fake title to send passers-by off their scent.

The 22-year-old said: ‘It was Face of Angels,’ before adding: ‘It’s a random one!’

Game of Thrones seasons one to eight are available to stream on NOW TV.
