Fans loved the brutal wit of sleazy knight Bronn (played by Jerome Flynn) on Game of Thrones.
While the character didn’t have as much air-time in the jam-packed season eight of the HBO drama, his scenes were still pivotal.
And now it has been revealed one scene in which Bronn exerted his power over Podrick (Daniel Portman) was completely improvised.
Originally meant to display a hearty reunion between the characters, what resulted was something rather different.
The hilarious moment saw Bronn grabbing Podrick’s crotch.
Brienne of Tarth’s (Gwendoline Christie) assistant was understandably stunned, and the camera zoomed in on the character’s horrified face in the final cut of the episode.
The actor thought back to one of his favourite filming memories during Con Of Thrones in Nashville, according to FilmSchoolRejects.com.
Jerome revealed his unplanned decision in the scene was simply to witness “the look” on his co-star’s face.
In the comedic moment, which appeared in season six, the actor spontaneously decided to grab Daniel’s crotch in the scene ‘for the look on his face’.
As a result Podrick’s reaction was in fact the actor’s genuine one.

Jerome explained: “I decided to grab his balls and he had no idea that was coming.
“And that’s the shot they used,” the star laughed.
Also at the convention, it was revealed that the majestic throne room was actually used as a storage facility when it wasn’t in use.
Concept artist Kieran Belshaw said: “They set up this test body pile in the throne room.
“I walked in there a few times and took lots of reference pictures.
“You’ve got the space, you may as well use it.”
The crew member then added that it was mainly used to chuck things into to “get out of the way”.
Game of Thrones’ cast and crew continue to share their favourite anecdotes and behind the scenes secrets from the show.
All the while, pre-production continues on the fantasy series’ prequel.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available to stream now.
