Game of Thrones’ episode seven battled through the series’ leaks online and it didn’t appear to hamper the entertainment value, but now HBO bosses are taking things to the next level and the cast haven’t been able to open the season eight scripts.

Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworthy, has revealed the super lengths that GoT bosses are going to to make sure the fun isn’t ruined for everyone.

‘I got them all,’ Cunningham said of the scripts, adding: ‘I can’t open them because of all the security, and I can’t walk it out.’

Quizzed on whether he had read what happens in the highly-anticipated finale, he said: ‘I can’t open them!’

The cast are unable to open digital scripts for season eight unless they are in the show’s studio in Belfast or have been given prior authorisation.

It’s been reported that the GoT cast will get together today, October 9, for the first read through of the final three episodes so all the cast will know what happens in the end.

Just when you thought that Game of Thrones couldn’t get any better, it turns out you were wrong.

Fans suffered the disappointment that the HBO hit series will only have six episodes for the final season, but actually that doesn’t mean it will be ‘condensed’ but turns out it might be longer than ever.

Cunningham also has recently claimed that the eighth season will be having the longest episodes ever. (He’s the gift that keeps on giving!)

Season seven’s finale was 80 minutes long, so it’s likely if Cunningham is right then fans will see more of the show’s characters – Cersei, Jon Snow, Daenerys etc. more than ever before as they come to face the Night King in what will be a spectacular battle.

‘[The episodes are] definitely going to be bigger and what I hear is longer,’ he told TV Guide.

‘We’re filming right up until the summer. When you think about it, up until last season we’d have six months to do ten episodes, so we’re [doing] way more than that for six episodes. So that obviously will translate into longer episodes,’ he said.

Lena Headey has officially fired the starting pistol on Game Of Thrones season eight filming, with a particularly hairy snap.

Corrie reveals violent scenes as Billy’s killer secret returns to haunt him

The 44-year-old actress, who plays tyrannical queen Cersei in the show, has posted a behind-the-scenes picture with hair and make-up designers Kev Alexander and Candice Banks confirming filming has started on the final season.

Taking to Instagram, Lena wrote: ‘Season 8… Hair and Teeth… HAIR AND TEETH !!!’

Is this Cersei’s new look? Has she uncovered secret Targaryen blood? Is this her White Walker transformation hybrid? QUESTIONS.

It isn’t the only hairy tease for season eight, with Emilia Clarke previously posting snaps which tease a potential new hairdo for Daenerys.

Considering the amount of fan theories which emerged around hair in the last season, including Sansa’s longer locks and Daenerys’ braids, it seems the hair and make-up team have their work cut out (ahem) to cook up a speculation storm.

Game Of Thrones season eight will be the show’s final bow, containing six episodes and seeing the return of fan favourite directors.

It’s currently unclear when the final season will debut, with HBO leaving us hanging whether the show will return in 2018 or 2019.

Game of Thrones season eight is expected to return to screens in 2019.
