A few days ago, I saw a thread on Reddit asking who the fantasy cast would be for Robert’s Rebellion if HBO ever decided to do a mini-series or film on the events of the War of the Usurper. This is what I came up with. Feel free to comment whether it’s to agree, disagree or to add your own suggestions.
I would like to thank of all the artists who own the artwork. Without them, making this would be a lot tougher.
Also, I really hope they do a mini-series on Robert’s Rebellion one day.

Ned and Robert are supposed to be 16 in the story. Maybe we should go with people closer to 20 than 40 🙂
Brad Pitt and Brian Cox ! Genius, Natalie portman is good too! I like Macavoy for stark better than fassbender for robert, and the two of them would cause too many x-men comparisons.

As much as I love Michael Fassbender, I'm afraid he's far too old to play young Robert, and so is Pitt for Rheagar. But the idea of Jason Isaacs playing the Mad King is fantastic and I can totally see Neeson as Jon Arryn. 🙂
Brad Pitt is really bad choice for Rhaegar. Much better actors were on for example "Lyanna&Rhaegar Tower of Joy" short movie on YouTube.

Good actors but too old. Pitt looks young for his age but no makeup crew can make look in his early 20s and Jamie Lannister was in his late teens during the rebellion so to choose Waldau would be too weird. They're are plenty of young actors/actresses who can play these roles well

Eh, it's television, they can make people look younger and older. Plus, I always age the characters up in my head but there is credence to what you are saying. I always pictured Rhaegar as Brad Pitt/Achillies from Troy so that's my reasoning.
Conan Stevens for Gregor and I didn't want to pick anyone for Elia because I didn't want to be embroiled in another discussion regarding which ethnicity the Martells should be which immediately follows anytime you pick a casting choice for a Martell.
What about Elia Martell, and Gregor Clegane?
