Ramin Djawadi, the composer for the hit HBO fantasy drama “Game of Thrones” is taking the show’s music around the world. In 2018, the symphony will make a return stop in the Bay Area at the SAP Center in San Jose to perform scores spanning the seven seasons of the show.

The show previously stopped in San Jose in Spring 2017.

According to Jeff Peters, Vice President of Licensing and Retail at HBO, the touring show will present an “updated version” of what fans saw earlier this year. The production’s works add musical color to well-known show locales in Westeros and Essos.

“Bringing the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience to audiences earlier this year was a dream come true, dating back to an idea hatched over three years ago,” says Djawadi in a press release. “The scale and spectacle of the production brought the world of Westeros to life in a truly immersive fashion, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share the experience with fans not only in North America again, but also to cross the narrow sea for the first time and bring the show to Europe.”

Tickets to the performance at the SAP Center on Sept. 8, 2018, will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. at Live Nation, with a number of tickets being sold earlier for Citi cardmembers.
