The season eight finale of Game of Thrones saw Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) kill the Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).
Many fans were shocked by the outcome but now it seems they should have been more than prepared as her death was teased in a scene with Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) back in season two.
In the second series, Daenerys had a vision of the Iron Throne when she went into the House of the Undying.
Fans are well acquainted with the scene as it has been referenced in many theories which suggested she would take the Iron Throne or just miss out on it.
While many theories referenced the Iron Throne, few commented on Khal Drogo and her dead son’s appearance.
In the vision from season two, Daenerys almost touches the throne but is distracted by her dead husband and son.
Meanwhile, in the season eight finale, Daenerys does in fact put her hand on the throne but before sitting on it, turns to see Jon.
The former King in the North confronts her about the sack of King’s Landing and the murder of hundreds of innocent people.
Daenerys defends her actions but Jon is shocked and continues with his plan to kill her.
Could Khal Drogo and her son Rhaego’s appearance have been a big hint that not only would she not sit on the Iron Throne but she would also be killed.
