fans were devastated to see Daenerys Targeryen (played by Emilia Clarke) undergo a dark character transformation as she burned down King’s Landing and slaughtered a number of innocent civilians. The transition ultimately led to her death at the hands of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and her being labelled the Mad Queen. However, Daenerys star Emilia Clarke has spoken out about her dark turn.

Instead of describing Deanerys turn as rage or madness, Clarke described it as grief.

Speaking in an unlisted HBO video, Emilia spoke out about the moment Daenerys saw Cersei in the castle just after she’d began her attack on the city.

She revealed that Deanerys’ behaviour in the memorable scene ‘doesn’t deserve’ to be labelled as crazy.

“It’s this feeling that you could call Targaryen craziness, you could give it all of these names that it doesn’t deserve,” she began.

“Because it is just grief. It’s hurt,

“And she has this ability to make this hurt a little bit less just for a minute.

“And here she is sitting on this ridge and there’s the emotion and there’s the feeling and the feeling is to f*****g kill her.”

Moreover, Jacob Anderson, who played Greyworm, one of her biggest supporters in the series explained why his character could never see Daenerys as the Mad Queen.

Meanwhile, one fan thinks they have closed one of the show’s major plot holes in the Battle of Winterfell.

After the episode aired, many questions arose about how the heroes fought against the Night King and some wondered why they didn’t just stay inside the castle and use that as a strategic defence instead.

Now, Reddit user Thibinus has shared their own theory, explaining: “It’s true that hiding in the castle and defend it would be a very smart thing to do against a regular army who has the advantage of numbers.

“But the Night King had a dragon, and dragon fire can literally explode stone walls.
