Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is auctioning off a virtual dinner date in the name of coronavirus.

While the pandemic continues to soar, the actress is hoping to raise a whopping £250,000 for her charity SameYou, which helps patients recovering from brain injuries and strokes get the help they need at home in order to free up hospital beds.

The 33-year-old previously suffered two brain aneurysms that required life-changing surgery eight years ago, and is now on a quest to help those like her in need.

Taking to her Instagram, the Daenerys star beamed down the camera as she explained her mission in a short video, and told her 27.4million followers how they can help.

‘I’m coming at you with a little request,’ she confessed before asking: ‘Would you help me? Would you like to help me, please, raise £250,000 for SameYou’s COVID-19 Relief Fund?’

Emilia continued: ‘There’s a thank you attached, and the thank you goes a little something like this: How would you feel about having dinner with me? Virtually.

‘What we will do is when you donate, you can click on a link, tick a box, and that will be a randomised selection process, and 12 lucky people will join me virtually [for dinner].’

She went onto say how they will cook a meal from scratch together before sitting down for their feast, adding: ‘We’ll discuss lots of things – isolation, fear, and funny videos, and the fact that I can’t really cook.

‘It’s going to be fun! It’s going to be interesting.’

She wrote in the caption: ‘Dearest ones, from my isolation booth I write to you with a plea for help!

‘Due to the current frightening and ever changing coronavirus emergency please would you help me raise £250,000, by donating through the link in my Bio, to provide stroke and brain injury patients with essential support!!

‘This fund will also help in freeing up the hospital beds needed to deal with the pandemic, to care for those who also need a space to heal. 100% of your generosity will fund virtual rehab clinic support in the coming weeks…

‘A very big task and a very big ask but you are all very big hearted souls so I know you’ll want to help me help them!’

Emilia has already raised a whopping £16,083.64, from 856 supporters – 12 of which could soon be wining and dining the Mother of Dragons.

Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are available to stream via NOW TV.
