There’s one Game of Thrones scene Emilia Clarke would change (Pictures: HBO)

Game of Thrones gave Emilia Clarke her big break as Daenerys Targaryen and now the star has revealed the one scene that she would go back and change.

The 34-year-old starred as Daenerys right until the very end of the fantasy epic, dying at the final hurdle as the Mother of Dragons was killed by her lover – and nephew – Jon Snow (Kit Harington).

After torching the Iron Throne, Daenerys’ one surviving dragon, Drogon, took her body in his mouth and flew away from King’s Landing.

Even though the show ended a few years ago, Emilia is still hounded with questions about the series, and she seems more than happy to oblige.

In an interview with theSkimm, the actress revealed the one thing she would change in the show, and fans might not be surprised.

‘Right, the bit where I died!’ she said.

While Emilia was being humorous in her answer, it’s sure to hit a nerve with those who were left disappointed with the show’s conclusion.

During the final season, many viewers felt Emilia’s character Daenerys changed dramatically and unnecessarily.

She went from being the beloved Mother of Dragons to setting fire to an entire village of innocent people and her enemies who had surrendered.

The actress previously shared what she thinks happened to Daenerys’ corpse and her theory is both bleak and beautiful at the same time.

According to TV Line, Emilia said: ‘I think he flies around with her body until it decomposes.

‘I literally think he keeps flying until he can’t fly anymore. He just keeps grieving.’

HBO has since confirmed Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is due to hit screens in 2022.

Following the origins of House Targaryen, the spin-off will explore Daenerys’ family tree with The Outsider star Paddy Considine confirmed to play the lead as King Viserys Targaryen.

Game of Thrones is available to stream on NOW.
