With the final Game of Thrones season just days away, many fans have naturally started rewatching the show from the start to refresh their memories.
Aside from recapping the many, many, many deaths across the last few years, one fan has spotted a gaffe from episode number one.
Back in simpler times when HBO didn’t have quite the budget it does now, it looks like the costumes were a bit less extravagant too.
One viewer noticed someone in the background wearing what appeared to be a pair of blue jeans with a simple puffer jacket.
“Watching the Game of Thrones first episode and there a guy in the background with a straight up Patagonia jacket, blue jeans and boots,” he wrote.
Fans have joked that it’s a subtle hint time travel is going to be the big twist in the finale, while others have suggested it’s Marvel’s Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes.
Of course, it could also be an everyday medieval man wearing everyday medieval clothes…
A recent teaser trailer for season 8 has given fans a lot to digest about what they can expect from the new episodes.
The clip, titled ‘Aftermath’, pans over a number of important items from across the show’s history, hinting at what could be coming up for the characters – and it doesn’t look good.
Fans have already noticed the feather Robert put on Lyanna’s tomb, Jaime’s golden hand and Tyrion’s pin. Daenerys’ chain can also be spotted among the snow, as can a Dragonglass arrow.
