HBO has released a brand new look at the final season of ‘Game of Thrones,’ in which Daenerys Targaryen arrives in Winterfell.

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones bows in April 2019, promising the resolution of more stories than Westeros has kingdoms — well past seven, for those keeping score.

As David Benioff and Dan Weiss’ blockbuster drama based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series draws to a close, expect countless new character combinations in the thick of the White Walker war, including the one revealed in an HBO teaser released during the Golden Globes: Jon Snow (Kit Harington) bringing Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Winterfell for the first time, where she meets Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner).

“Winterfell is yours, Your Grace,” Sansa tells the Mother of Dragons. Watch the teaser below, which includes a look at numerous HBO projects, including the highly anticipated Watchmen adaptation from Damon Lindelof:

Jon and Sansa’s reunion all the way back in the fourth episode of season six kicked off an avalanche of convergent storylines, from Dany uniting forces with Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and the Iron Islanders (including Alfie Allen’s Theon Greyjoy), to Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) meeting Ser Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen), the latter of whom is also seen in the new scene released by HBO. The first ever meeting between Sansa and Daenerys is just another example of how tightly the story is tying together, as the Night King and the White Walkers continue their march on Westeros, having blown through the Wall in the season seven finale.

Indeed, the very fact that Jon and Daenerys are arriving at Winterfell in time to meet with a relatively calm Sansa tells us at least one thing about the final season of Thrones: the two Targaryens (one of whom doesn’t know about his fiery heritage) will make it back to the heart of the North before the White Walkers’ arrival. The most recent scene in Thrones lore puts the Night King and his Army of the Dead at Eastwatch by the Sea, at the northeastern most corner of Westeros. Their next logical stop on the path toward mass-murdering mankind: Winterfell.

Jon and Dany were last seen traveling toward the seat of House Stark (it’s true, technically, even if the most recent image of the two is memorable for more incestuous reasons), with no guarantee of making it to their destination before the Night King. Now, whenever the White Walkers’ commander makes his debut in Winterfell, he’ll have to contend with the Dragon Queen and the Wolf King — a rematch from when these parties last met during the climactic “Beyond the Wall.”
