Game of Thrones became the biggest show of the decade for a variety of reasons. The use of historical sets, graphic scenery, CGI and intense battle scenes set the show on par with its contemporaries. Another reason that made the show hugely popular was its on-point casting. Each of the stars worked really hard, to prove themselves perfect for their role. For example, Pedro Pascal impressed the showrunners with a phone-video audition tape. Game of Thrones’ star Bella Ramsey talked about her casting experience with Metro.uk.
Bella played the role of young and dominating Lady Lyanna Mormont on the show. She recalled, “You just try and say hello to everybody else that’s there, just so you’ve cleared the air and there’s not the horrible competition tension. I don’t like that at all,’ she said. “I just try and make sure I’m nice to everybody.”
“I still remember the first time I was recognised,” she told us. “I found it quite cool, the fact that I could make someone’s day literally just by being myself.”
Ramsey revealed she doesn’t like watching herself on TV. She said, “For some reason, watching myself on Game of Thrones jars me. I just don’t enjoy watching my bits at all. Although it’s me, it’s kind of not me.”
