Jacob Anderson has given us the closest thing to a Game of Thrones revival after getting into character as Grey Worm to promote Krept & Konan’s new album.
Freak of the Week rappers Krept & Konan are gearing up for the release of their long-awaited second album, Revenge Is Sweet, on Friday and given the title, it couldn’t be more appropriate to have revenge-seeking Grey Worm on-board to promote the cause.
In a video shared on Instagram, Jacob – also known as his musical alias Raleigh Ritchie – stares intently at the camera before saying in Grey Worm’s thick accent: ‘Revenge is sweet.’
But, it seems Jacob has forgotten how serious his character was and couldn’t keep a straight face, bursting into laughter with Krept.
Although we have to say, who knew Grey Worm had such great taste in music?
Revenge Is Sweet comes four years after Krept & Konan’s debut album, The Long Way Home, and features collaborations with the likes of Stormzy, Ramz, Tory Lanez, Wizkid, D-Block Europe and Krept’s late cousin Cadet, who died in a car accident in February.
The British rappers have been forced to postpone their tour so Krept, 28, can recover from his leg injury after getting stabbed backstage at BBC 1Xtra Live in Birmingham earlier this month.
Fans can still expect the London show to go ahead at the O2 Arena on 5 December but the remaining dates will take place in January with locations including Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow and Dublin.
It’s been a few months since we last saw Jacob, 29, on our screens with the Game of Thrones finale airing in June.
But with GoT done and dusted, he’s now got time to focus on his music and Jacob teased his next album will be his most personal music yet.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk in September, Jacob said: ‘There’s a song on this album that I’ve never written anything more personal.
‘I got quite worked up writing it and everyone was really quiet when we recorded it. I’m a little bit nervous about that coming out but I feel like you should be. That’s a good feeling to have.
‘I feel like I’ve said something that I didn’t think I’d ever be brave enough to say.’
Krept & Konan’s album Revenge Is Sweet is set for release on Friday (1 November).
