Season 8 of “Game of Thrones” will be the last for the popular HBO show….and it comes with an eye-popping budget. According to Variety, the final season features a budget of 15 million dollars per episode. That staggering number would have been laughed at just a few years ago, but according to a Netflix executive, 20 million may not be that far off. In comparison, the typical cost per “Game of Thrones” episode in the first season was around 6 million dollars. Since then, the show has upped its special effects budget as well as added more epic battle scenes. With a budget like that, fans are sure to be wowed by this last season.
