Game Of Thrones’ fictional universe is expanding at a rapid rate with a reported three new series in making.

The upcoming new trio of stories joins big-budget series House Of The Dragon, which starts production in May, and limited animated series The Tales of Dunk and Egg.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the three projects are all set before the events of Game Of Thrones – with two tentatively titled Nine Voyages and 10,000 Ships.

Nine Voyages is believed to focus on ‘The Sea Snake’ Lord Corlys Velaryon, who will be played by Steve Toussaint in House Of The Dragon.

As a result, the shows are aimed to be tied together.

10,000 Ships will focus on House Martell ancestor Princess Nymeria, who founded the Dorne kingdom.

Her power and skill becomes so legendary that she eventually inspired the young Arya Stark to name her direwolf after him – more than a thousand years later in the Westeros timeline.

Project three, which is currently untitled, will focus on life in Flea Bottom, the poorest slum area of King’s Landing.

Known for its class divide, the winding streets often give way to crime and smelled foul due to the tanneries of the area using dung and urine to stain their leather.

Gendry Baratheon (who was played by Joe Dempsie on Game Of Thrones) was born here.

The three new shows come as fans spotted a new project titled ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire’ on the executive producer’s website – which is the name of the book collection Game Of Thrones is based on.

It does not appear that he is connected to any of these three projects.

The first spin-off, House Of The Dragon, is due to start production in April, with a 2022 release date slated.

It will focus on the Targaryen family and their relentless quest for power, which ultimately results in an inter-family civil war known as the Dance Of Dragons.

Paddy Considine, Matt Smith and Olivia Cooke have all been confirmed in the cast.

Game Of Thrones is available on Sky Atlantic and Now.
